The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides the Engineering leadership for F/A-18 DMS forecasting and monitoring, which may include proactive coordination with a multi-functional team (Engineering, Program Management, Government Customers, Supplier Management) across multiple campaigns and programs

  • Develop and Present DMS briefings for F/A-18 review meetings (PMM, PMR, DMSRB, CCB, etc.)

  • Develop, Maintain, and Drive DMS processes across the F/A-18 platform

  • Partner with other Boeing Platforms on DMS Best Practices and coordinate cross-platform DMS issues to develop enterprise solutions

  • Coordinate, Prepare, Review and Deliver DMS CDRLs to meet contractual commitments

  • Provide team estimates for DMS activities on F/A-18 proposals

  • Perform Cost Account Manager duties for DMS team accounts on F/A-18 programs

  • Works with customers and management to obtain approval. Identifies and manages changes to statement of work and assesses the impact of those changes, and incorporates changes into statement of work.

  • Negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules. Leads project execution to complete the work statement.

  • Identifies performance metrics.

  • Plans, identifies and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Assigns responsibility for activities to team members and ensures technical correctness and consistency of products and services.

  • Directs proposal development to complete the work statement. Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned. Identifies corrective actions to improve project or team performance.

  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 7+ years of engineering experience

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft systems and integration

  • Experience with reviewing and analyzing data and datasets

  • Experience compiling, summarizing, and presenting data to internal and external customers

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of engineering experience

  • Ability to lead meetings

  • Work independently and cross functionally

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to present and communicate information to senior leaders

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $114,750 - $155,250
