Philips Software Network and Security Engineer (C++/C#) in Best, Netherlands

As a Software Network and Security Engineer you will develop new products using the latest technologies and help us make next steps in security of our products. You will belong to Image Guided Therapy Systems business unit which is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-ray systems in the area of cardiac or vascular medical diagnosis and (minimally invasive) interventions.

Your role:

  • Work closely with Software Technical Product Owner Networking as well as the Hardware counterpart to support the creation, maintenance, and execution of the network roadmap

  • Support factory and installed base with networking and security expertise

  • Be linking pin between the software teams and security & network architect, translating, and implementing the architecture in hardware and software.

  • Design and implementation of software - understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification.

  • Design software based on design specifications, to ensure that the software is reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards.

  • Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components.

  • Contribute to the quality and maintainability of our software stack which has to be maintained for a long time (10+ years).

  • Perform work in-line with processes/quality management system.

  • Contribute to the unit interfaces (SW), in close consultation with relevant disciplines.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of Experience with complex network architectures

  • Academic degree in informatics/computer science and experience in technical software development (C++, C#)

  • Proficient with network technologies & standards (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)

  • Proficient with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)

  • Knowledge and understanding of network and overall software security fundamentals

  • Affinity and interest in software/hardware integration

  • Experience in working with legacy code

Advantages

  • Experience with Healthcare Regulatory aspects (FDA 820.x, ISO13485, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Cisco hard- and software

  • Experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization is

  • Experience with Linux
