THE ROLE
This Engineer will join our Marketing Automation Engineering team, who s responsible for creating real time marketing campaigns across multiple advertising platforms. We improve ticket purchase experience for millions of live event fans by using real time streaming combined with various AWS technologies.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Write clean, well designed and testable code to support marketing campaign creation
Develop new features to facilitate automation of existing marketing processes
Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle, including planning and QA
Build out and maintain all the necessary infrastructure in AWS
Design schemas and tables for relational DB
Develop, maintain and optimize MySQL queries
Maintain and evolve existing automations
Integrate with 3rd party APIs
Be a part of an agile team, communicate current progress as well as blockers
Ensure overall system health through development of automated tests and monitoring
Support continuous team improvements by evaluating alternative approaches to existing solutions
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of progressive engineering experience and at least 3+ years of Sr. Engineer experience
Advanced hands on back-end Java development experience
Experience with addressing intricate technical challenges through debugging and investigations
Ability to work with complex MySQL queries
Familiarity with AWS stack ( Lambda, ElasticBeanstalk etc. )
Experience working with streaming applications ( Kafka )
Familiarity with Terraform is a plus
Ability to build and maintain deployment pipelines
Effective verbal communication skills

The expected compensation for this position in California is:
$156,000.00 USD - $196,000.00 USD
