If you\'re interested in working with borrowers to resolve loan delinquencies in accordance with bank, secondary market, and legal guidelines including state and federal regulations, our Consumer Collections Associate role may be for you! We invite you to consider joining our Consumer Collections team.

\ Responsibilities:

• Complete documented weekly contact events for delinquent consumer loans in assigned portfolio/branches per secondary market and regulatory guidelines.
• Manage consumer collections portfolio by ordering and analyzing property valuations as needed, identifying monthly qualifying risk rating changes, evaluating loans for charge downs or charge offs, setting reserves on quarterly watch list, and completing renewals of matured loans within assigned portfolio.
• Analyze loss mitigation applications and discuss options with the borrowers to determine the best option for both parties. Memos must be completed for the approval process for in-house loans. Secondary market approval must be obtained by their specific guidelines and processed in their proprietary software within the regulatory timeline.
• Communicate by phone and by email to internal and external customers in a respectful and professional manner.
• Prepare comprehensive memos within the established format and guidelines
• Maintain organization amid frequent interruptions while managing multiple tasks and phone calls throughout the workday.
• Provide regular progress updates to management on all outstanding loss mitigation plans, renewals, and significantly past due loans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Perform other projects/tasks as needed.

Who You Are

• 1 year of experience in Collections preferred or equivalent of education and experience
