Position Summary

Zinc Health Services, as a GPO and affiliate of CVS Health, enters contracts to control and reduce participant organization costs. CVS Health is recruiting for an Executive Director, Business Operations and Client Strategy who will play a pivotal role in working closely with our C-level executive team to shape and enhance Zinc strategy.

The key responsibilities of this role are to run strategy projects and lead a portfolio of agenda initiatives to accelerate our organic client growth, improve how we operate, and support decision-making and execution on our most important issues.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who can quickly develop a deep understanding of our business and lead a broad set of strategic efforts. Whether it be homing in on Board-level messaging, developing alignment and effective communications with both internal and external partners, driving large-scale transformation projects, or intercepting and accelerating growth for specific business lines, this role requires someone who is dynamic, adaptable, and has a passion for solving multi-layered business challenges.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Translating initiatives and long-term goals into tangible business strategy programs that are designed to create value and impact.

  • Partnering with GPO participants, such as Caremark, on product and formulary strategies.

  • Partnering with GPO participants on end-to-end Invoicing operations optimization.

  • Initiating and executing manufacturer contracts and amendments.

  • Leading processes to evaluate and advocate for necessary tools and frameworks to aid in efficient uses of resources.

  • Influencing effectively across all areas and levels of the organization to implement and execute strategy programs.

  • Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in managed-care which may include PBM or specialty pharmacy or health plan practice.

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience and operational experience in the Healthcare or PBM industry.

  • Experience driving complex partnerships and executing coherent communications.

  • Experience in leading multiple relationships to include direct contact with key decision makers.

  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Ability to work Hybrid Model (in office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday).

EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$131,500.00 - $303,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
