As a Senior Development Engineer at Donaldson Company, you will not only play a part in creating products that impact lives, but also provide value and direction for the filtration industry. You will be responsible for large scale projects that help us work towards our aggressive company growth goals. In this role you will develop new and innovative hydraulic filtration products and technologies, as part of our Mobile Solutions business unit serving the global customers in the On and Off-Road markets. Role Responsibilities: Demonstrating innovation and provide value to customers by creating industry leading hydraulic filtration systems while utilizing a variety engineering tools and resources available in a technology driven company. Recognizing customer input and translating into new products, applications, and technologies. Becoming a subject matter expert. Using your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to advance engineering projects. Advancing corporate long and short-term strategies by meeting program objectives. Managing test programs to ensure products are meeting expectations. Providing design guidance and input on products. Identifying new opportunities for technology in the marketplace and aide in growing Donaldson IP portfolio. Educating others on filtration principles & engineering tools and as a market leader in filtration. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required Minimum 5 years related professional engineering experience Demonstrated flexibility when managing through competing projects and priorities Ability to create innovative new products incorporating the voice of the customer Ability to execute big picture engineering concepts, while preserving the details Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in technical field Hydraulic or Hydraulic system engineering experience Demonstrated project management skills Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in Minitab Liquid Filtration knowledge/experience Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% Key words: senior engineer, development engineer, hydraulic, hydraulic systems, new product, NPD, IP #LI-Hybrid Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
