Adecco US, Inc. HR Assistant in Bohemia, New York

Premier Infrastructure & Energy, a subcontractor to National Grid, is in search of an entry-level HR assistant to provide administrative support to our Human Resources Department. Our organization is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in a career in Human Resources. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate, or anyone taking HR courses to gain or develop their experience. The HR Assistant will be the liaison between employees and the HR department, have a hand in bringing new team members into the organization and work collaboratively with all departments to enhance our workplace.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process for all open roles, including recruitment, onboarding, preemployment screenings

  • Schedule and set up first day trainings- welcome information to new hires, coordinate with other supporting departments, New Hire Folders, etc

  • Initial point of contact for all HR calls and answering questions or routing calls

  • Scheduling of Random Drug Screens quarterly

  • Become familiar with our HR softwares- Paylocity and ClearCo

  • Maintain all Department of Labor posters and documentation, including ordering, distributing and posting

  • Company-wide communications- birthday emails, holiday closures, etc

  • Scanning HR mail and distributing

  • Learning all company policies and procedures

  • Apparel inventory and distribution

  • Maintaining employee files

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Great communication both written and verbal

  • Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information

  • Attention to detail

  • Understanding of HR processes and recruitment practices is preferred

  • Experience with HR softwares preferred

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
