Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Purchaser position. This Purchaser will research vendors, products, and services and negotiate contracts for the best price and value. This may be the role for you if you are an experience purchaser with excellent communication, inventory management and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time

• Monitor inventory and writing orders to refill stock

• Attend events, shows, and exhibitions to network with vendors and view new products

• Engage with staff and other stakeholders at meetings

• Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality for the best deal

• Report any issues with delivered products in timely manner

• Create reports on purchases and perform cost analyses

• Revise records of purchased products

• Discuss and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors

Requirements - Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

• Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
