We are currently seeking a Tax Senior Analyst to join our team at Micron. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and workpapers for federal, state, and international tax filings as well as providing support for quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740. This position is based onsite at our Boise, Idaho location.

Job Description

Regional Tax Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of US federal and state corporate tax returns

  • Assisting with preparation of quarterly tax provision, tax estimates, deferred taxation and tax packages as needed.

  • Coordinate with finance team and external advisors to work on significant tax matters

  • Supports fixed assets tax depreciation calculation and reporting.

  • Supports US R&D tax credit claims.

  • Support tax audit defense.

  • Support tax planning initiatives such as tax incentives and credits.

  • Maintain professional relationships with finance team, external advisors, auditors and tax authorities.

Global responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with US based tax team to assist with the preparation of US international tax forms (forms 5471, 8858, etc.)

  • Supports various global tax projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with either A Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.

  • Experience with a variety of taxing jurisdictions and affiliated income tax filing requirements.

  • Strong in Excel and large data manipulation skills.

  • Experience in working Onesource Compliance software (OIT) and/or SAP knowledge is an added advantage.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
