The IT Infrastructure Engineer performs required system administration activities necessary to provide secure operations of highly available IT systems including server, storage, and virtualized computing platforms. This role is also responsible for ensuring ongoing reliability and performance by monitoring the operating environments, responding to incidents and problems, and planning for growth.

Essential Functions:

• Plans, analyzes, implements, and maintains infrastructure hardware / software in support of complex business processes for both internal and external customers.

• Provides high level design, implementation, and troubleshooting support for infrastructure hardware / software.

• Performs key role in implementation and maintenance planning.

• Interacts with internal business process owners and Senior Management to determine requirements and specifications.

• Serves as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers.

• Conducts troubleshooting and tuning to meet availability needs, while also playing a key role on larger projects.

• Demonstrates advanced proficiency within infrastructure related requirements and configurations.

• Operates under minimal supervision, with latitude for decision making and cross-team communication.

• Acts as advisor to Intermediate and Associate levels of IT Infrastructure Engineers, etc.

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of system administration and best practices for Linux and Windows Server systems.

• Knowledge of NAS related technologies and file systems.

• Knowledge of backup and recovery best practices.

• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery best practices.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS and other networking protocols.

• Knowledge of application firewall and load balancing technologies.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Docker, etc.

• Mobile Device Management (Intune & Jamf).

• Office 365 and Azure administration.

• Identity & Access Management: Active Directory, Azure AD, App Proxy, SSO/SAML, MFA.

• Configuration Management (SCCM).

• Programming and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

• Software packaging and deployment.

• Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Computer hardware settings and best practices.

• Windows 10, 11 & Office 365 technical troubleshooting.

• Antivirus, Endpoint Security other encryption products.

Education and Experience Requirement:

• Minimum Associate degree with preferable emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering.

• Desired bachelor’s degree with preferable emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering.

• Minimum of six (6+) years of relevant information technology experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Normal office environment.

• Ability to travel domestic and global 10%.

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $101,200 to $182,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
