Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a On-Call Nephrologist at the Nellis AFB located in Nellis AFB, NV

HCW Qualifications:

Degree/Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada.

Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support : BLS is required. The HCW shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) (Course C), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). BLS/ACLS certifications must be through the American Heart Association or a Red Cross.

Experience Must have been employed in the practice of Nephrology or in an accredited training program for 24 of the last 36 month. Must have experience working in inpatient and outpatient in Nephology to include management of patients undergoing chronic dialysis.

Board Certification: Current board certification or board eligible in Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

Licensure/Registration: The providers shall have and maintain a valid unrestricted license in the state of Nevada.

HCW Duties:

This contract covers procured non-personal Nephrologist services for the provision of Inpatient Critical and Acute Care and urgent and emergent consultative services at MOMMC. Coverage includes management and disposition of urgent outpatient issues that would otherwise be managed by the full-time Nephrology staff if present, to include telephone messages, provider and nurse inquiries and response to abnormal test results as well as Nephrologist consultative services to the MOMMC Emergency Department and inpatient services.

All physicians providing medical services shall, at all times, comply with the laws, rules and regulations of all governmental authorities having jurisdiction (to include all Defense Health Agency, Department of Defense and Air Force policies). Additionally, all physicians shall comply with MOMMCs medical staff by-laws, all applicable, current Joint Commission standards as outlined in the comprehensive accreditation manual for hospitals and other policies applicable to the delivery of healthcare inside MOMMC.

The Group shall appoint a Medical Director to supervise the operation of services provided under this contract and proper provision thereof. The Medical Director will supervise and coordinate the medical services and operation of the Group in conjunction with the MOMMC Critical Care Medical Directors, Critical Care Unit Flight Commander, and the respective Medical Services Flight commander. The Medical Director shall supervise the Groups practices, medical staff relations, and such other group functions as MOMMC requests. The Medical Director shall devote as much time to the operation and conduct of the service at MOMMC as is necessary to provide proper and adequate service and to obtain maximum efficiency. The Medical Director shall be privileged to practice at MOMMC and maintain a medical staff appointment. The use of MOMMC shall be solely for the normal conduct of medical services on a professional basis. The Group will be expected to participate in performance improvement activities which include but arent limited to the trauma performance improvement program
