Description We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team based in Boynton Beach, Florida. This key role involves assisting with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, reconciling accounts, and providing general support within the accounting department. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity within the IT installation services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with handling AP and AR duties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Perform account reconciliations on a regular basis

• Follow up on customer accounts to ensure prompt payment and resolve discrepancies

• Reconcile aging accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for

• Cross train in various areas to provide backup as needed

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively for data management and reporting

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and presentation

• Participate in various accounting functions to support the overall operations of the accounting department

• Assist in billing functions, maintaining a clear record of all cash activity

• Provide general administrative support to the CFO and other team members as required. Requirements • Proficient in use of Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Familiarity with general Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Billing Functions

• Understanding of Cash Activity management

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
