Bozeman Health Engineering Worker (FT- 1 FTE) in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
The Engineering Worker provides the daily mechanical operations of the hospital, medical office buildings, physical plant and grounds. They are also responsible for security during dayshift hours by locking and unlocking of buildings, security systems, and responding to Code Gray pages.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
One year technical trade school or equivalent training in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC or Carpentry
Montana Licensure (Boiler) required within 14 months of hire
Essential Job Functions:
Performs repairs and/ or trouble-shoots equipment and/or facility problems
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment or systems on a scheduled basis
Performs daily rounds through areas of responsibility and make repairs as required
Consults with customer departments on equipment replacement, facility renovations and/or interior improvement
Works with vendors or contractors to coordinate necessary facility repairs or renovations
Documentation of completed work orders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight
Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to work varied shifts
Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment
