Description Robert Half is looking for individuals on an accounting-track, seeking an opportunity in the Insurance industry as an entry-level Accountant. Your duties in this position will include entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager and be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity for career growth. This role could be a great match if you have an aptitude for Excel, you maintain a positive attitude, and you are open to an entry-level accounting position. This opportunity is for a long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position and is located in Branchville, New Jersey.

What you get to do every day

• Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

• Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts

• Enter data

• Investigating and fixing account discrepancies

• Aiding in audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

• Put together monthly journal entries Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• 1 year of accounting experience

• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects

• An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested

• Data entry experience

• Adeptness in Data Transfer

• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Microsoft Excel experience

• Customer service experience

• Solid understanding of medical collections
