What you’ll be doing:

Do you have a high-level understanding of Finite Element Analysis and are you comfortable working with a wide range of engineering applications like rotor dynamics, transmission builder, acoustics, structural dynamics, aeroelasticity? Then join our team!

As a qualified and motivated FEA engineer you are joining our Development Support team, as an expert supporting our Simcenter 3D Post-processing and our Simcenter Nastran development team fostering collaboration and communication between the two teams.

Development Support helps to verify that software predictions meet the highest quality standards and help deliver highly technical software support services to a global client base.

You will collaborate closely with teams worldwide to provide advanced technical solutions that help to ensure end-user issues are answered and fixed in a timely manner, and that software products are used correctly, to their maximum potential.

You will work closely with software developers during the development cycle of Simcenter 3D and Simcenter Nastran to help ensure new features’ understanding, with a focus to demonstrate the use of newly implemented software features and their functionalities. Another part of this role includes verifying that new features meet the specified design criteria.

You’ll help our customers drive digital innovation and have a tremendous impact by:

• Triaging customer problem reports submitted to the development teams.

• Supporting internal customers.

• Ensuring newly implemented code developments are well understood. Emphasis is given to verifying new code development works as designed throughout the development and release cycles.

What skills you need:

We would love to hear from you as a dedicated engineer with a postgraduate degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace/Marine Engineering or other closely related fields, as well as a prior industrial or research experience working with FEA software .

• You should come with an ability to find innovative approaches to problem solving and to show initiative in overcoming challenges. Proven ability to work autonomously and to prioritize different projects is essential to the role, as well as good organizational skills.

• Thanks to your excellent communication skills in English , you build positive relationships with your colleagues, and you can lead multi-functional teams projects, regardless of reporting structure. You are a strong teammate and creative problem solver who can work with multi-cultural, dispersed technical teams.

• You are also bringing experience in: Using Simcenter 3D and Simcenter Nastran ; Post-processing complex industrial CAE simulations; Supporting and/or testing CAE software; Basic programming and/or scripting skills – Python, NX Open; Working in a Linux and Windows environment.
