VMware Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition - Product / R&D - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Bridgeport, Connecticut

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead the recruiting delivery for the product/engineering teams for VMware’s End User Computing (EUC) Business. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop a team of outstanding recruiters while partnering closely with innovative business leaders within one of VMware’s rapidly growing businesses.

Your leadership will span a distributed technical recruiting team as they support an equally distributed client group running the world’s largest Digital Workspace Platform – Workspace ONE.

As the first point of contact, you will drive recruiting capability and delivery, ensure well represented candidate pools, report on req activity, metrics, and trends, influence through that data, and resolve problems that may impede hiring targets. You will also execute productivity improvements, manager enablement, and recruiter development programs and trainings. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Meeting hiring targets:

  • Meet your team and learn about them, their roles and the teams they support while also building collaborative and trusting partnerships with the Engineering leaders and hiring managers within EUC.

  • Develop an understanding of the business goals and the impact of hiring current roles/skillsets. Gain visibility and take an active role in mitigating current and future hiring challenges that may impede us from achieving hiring targets.

  • Partner with extended TA Leadership and Operations to build and execute on the roadmap for strategic change, commensurate with the business’ growth and organizational structure.

Team development and maturation (recruiting and business):

  • Provide strong leadership and support to an exceptional team of recruiting professionals while developing their skills and capabilities through coaching, inspiration, and encouragement.

  • Delivery of process change and enablement to all stakeholders.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

Expect a variety of the following:

  • Develop, support, and performance manage immediate team of recruiters. Oversee their individual workload volume, prioritizations and end-to-end req lifecycle. Ensure they are championing TA best practices and meeting compliance expectations.

  • As the first point of escalation, you will resolve recruiter and/or business concerns while driving forward-looking resolutions.

  • Partner with extended TA Leadership and Operations to build and execute on roadmap for strategic change, commensurate with the business’ growth and organizational structure.

  • Partner with key business leaders – VPs and their directs, business operations, HR, Immigration, Legal, Finance, and extended TA stakeholders – to ensure req alignment, delivery and compliance.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

You will be joining the product/engineering recruiting team, reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition for multiple business groups within the product/engineering organization. You will initially lead a team of three recruiters with the opportunity to scale based on business demand. The team culture is one based on building trust, partnership with one-another, and on-going development through coaching and giving back.
