DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in guiding and assisting local municipalities to plan, develop, and design quality bridge and roadway projects. Duties include developing and monitoring design schedules for project and plan implementation to assure that state and federal goals are met, providing good customer service to local municipalities on local design project and ensuring that during the scoping process the sponsor has contacted local municipalities within the project limits to make them aware of the project and to address any of their concerns or needs during the design process. You will also prepare project reimbursement agreements between individual municipalities and the Commonwealth for subsequent execution by the Department's legal department. You will also prepare scopes of work, review consultant agreements and prepare independent man-hour analyses of the consultant proposals. Additionally, you will prepare written and oral reports and memos for department and local decision makers on local and state sponsored project programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successful completion of probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (commonwealth title); or Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. or Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an engineer-in-training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
