About the Team

External Manufacturing Procurement ambition is to deliver a robust CDMO, CMO network that create outstanding Value.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish FMCH sourcing approaches addressing agility, innovation and service protection to the brand

  • Collaborate with Qunol supply team, quality control, and research and development departments to understand formulations, material requirements and unique specifications to inform sourcing strategy.

  • Document, communicate and get the buy-in on such strategies from the Qunol LT and share adequate stakeholders’ group in Sanofi CHC.

  • Manage the relationship with the existing supply base and introduce Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program with the appropriate suppliers after segmentation of the supply base.

  • Lead the process of identifying, selecting, and developing new partners.

  • Accountable for continuously improving supplier performance partnership.

  • Drive negotiation targeting to achieve continuous GM expansion and Net Working Capital optimization.

  • Accountable for identifying risks and maximizing opportunities involved in each sourcing process.

  • Lead the actions to maximize opportunities and mitigate the identified risks.

  • Provide contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply of his/her portfolio of EM.

  • Work closely with Qunol LT, global EM head and Qunol Supply Organization in understanding needs, objectives and priorities to improve cost, cash, service & quality of CDMO – CMO.

  • Support the organizations in the resolution or recurrent quality or service issues.

  • Accountable to meet or exceed the annual financial commitment (PPV / cash) through negotiation and sourcing management.

  • Contribute to actions to deliver growth and GM improvements through agile sourcing and external innovation.

  • Keep a sound and ethical relationship with supplier. Motivate suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer regarding service levels and introduction of innovative products.

  • Implement contractual agreements with the supply base in conjunction with the Legal department.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Engaging at Business Unit level and be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Business Heads of Qunol for External manufacturing including 2nd tier suppliers.

  • Focal point for Innovation, Growth and Science hubs dedicate to Qunol brand, contribute to and drive the implementation of the Growth Strategy together with Business and respective functionals incl the establishment of a competitive and trusted C(D)MO panel.

  • Work closely with the Business and Innovation team(s), ensuring alignment of strategy, portfolio, execution, and investment for innovation & NPD. Be a Strategic partner for the Development teams/New Product Development (NPD) working for Qunol.

  • Implement & execute competitive and innovative category strategies:

  • Based on market intelligence: assessing risks and opportunities,

  • Fully aligned on budget & strategic plan, delivering value to the businesses,

  • Delivering world class total savings objectives to execute 100% of all levers.

  • Ensuring procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality, Sustainability…),

  • Contributing to sourcing the right panel of suppliers, in line with the global strategy, the competitive environment and the brand needs.

About You

Education & Experience

  • University degree in Engineering/process, Business Administration, Procurement or equivalent.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a management or transversal role with proven record in terms of change management and results delivery.

  • Experience in VMS, Consumer Health Care or FMCG.

  • Deep understanding of the nutraceutical manufacturing landscape, regulatory requirements and quality standards in the supplements industry.

  • Experience with transitioning from tolling to turnkey procurement in supplements space.

  • Previous senior management positions or at least senior lead buyer position.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to build sustainable business connectivity.

  • Strong capability to manage business and interact with executive level: internal stakeholders, Suppliers and complex environment.

  • Solid understanding of both Procurement and Operations; a combination of functional experiences in both Manufacturing and Supply as well as Procurement would be ideal.

  • Sound experience in innovation management, business case development and risk management.

  • Effective communication skills.
