This department is part of the Global Engineering, and he is supporting CapEx portfolio and project execution.

The head of project support lead multi disciple teams to lead project controls and execute tiers1 project preliminary studies in order to accelerate standardization, speed of execution and overall cost efficiencies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drive consistency, simplification and digitization of Project Execution Standards (T1, T2 & T3), Methodologies, Practices and Procedures across all M&S Sites to improve project performance in term of speed and cost at completion.

  • Lead benchmark and Execution peer reviews of all Tier 1 Capital projects and select Tier 2 projects and consolidate all project Benchmark data for continuous improvement.

  • SHINE Business System Owner for all of M&S sites and their respective CapEx and OpEx activities to ensure robustness project monitoring & portfolio management.

  • Carryout oversight, analysis and monthly monitoring of the entire M&S CapEx Portfolio (€1.5+Bn annual spend).

  • Primary point of contact for Sanofi Internal Controls on all CapEx and project management matters and carryout regular Project audits on Tier 1 projects and provide corrective actions as required.

  • Owner of project management , project controls and construction safety standards and coordinate the community of practice (roughly 250FTE)

  • Lead front ends studies for Tiers 1 projectswhich will define project execution up to 1+B€ in project scale.

  • Key account manager and represent Sanofi in front of External Engineering and Project Controls partners.

About you

  • Experience :

  • 10+ years expertise in senior Engineering, medium / large project management and managing Position (Site, Country, or regional responsibility)

  • Corporate function: A plus with at least five years Expertise at global or cross-functional level with a high-level management position

  • engineering, design of bio/pharma process unit operations and facilities operations

  • Soft skills :

  • Enterprise Leader : is able to have the E2E vision of the business, prioritizing the common interest for the benefit of Sanofi and the patients. Can connect the dots for their team and keep them engaged with the vision.

  • Transformation Leader : Acts as change management and culture role model to foster employee’s engagement and build a psychologically safe and collaborative workplace.

  • Decision Maker : Takes timely and data-based decisions in a fast moving and complex environment to drive performance and progress. Promotes an environment where decisions are taken at the right level.

  • Engineering & Technical Management,

  • Ability to manage complex projects achieving significant business results.

  • Projects Portfolio Management,

  • Large project execution,

  • Education :

  • Master of Science Engineering or equivalent degree,

  • Project management background required.

  • Pharmaceutical &Bio-Tech facility start-up and /or manufacturing position experience.

  • Languages :

  • Fluent English spoken and written compulsory,

  • French and/or German language skills recommended.
