THE ROLE

As a Senior Solution Architect for our Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Practice, you will play a critical role within our Delivery organization. This is a customer-facing consulting role in which you will lead functional and technical discussions with customers and work with a wide variety of customer contacts in marketing and IT, up to and including executives. To succeed in this role, you will need a good mix of consulting and technical skills along with platform and domain knowledge. The Senior Solution Architect leads discovery sessions and recommends solutions for customers. You will be responsible for solution design, documentation, and technical build for your solutions, and delegating tasks to other technical project team members, where appropriate. The Senior Solution Architect should have a technical vision and proactively offer a point of view and set of recommendations to customers on topics related to digital marketing solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build trusted relationships with your assigned customers.
- Actively participate in project discussion and offer a point of view.
- Consult with customers on their business goals and marketing challenges.
- Lead consultative engagements including workshops with customers on technical and business goals and challenges.
- Lead discovery sessions to uncover requirements for the project.
- Create professional documentation that includes comprehensive customer user stories, functional and technical requirements, solution overviews, ERDs, and workflow diagrams.
- Define detailed, scalable, and appropriately sized technical solutions based on the customer's business needs and budget while accounting for their existing marketing technology environment.
- Effectively present and defend solution recommendations to customer audiences that include both technical and business stakeholders.
- Develop proofs-of-concept to validate solution feasibility.
- Build out technical solutions within SFMC
- Provide thought leadership to other consultants within Lev's SFMC practice.
- Contribute to our internal knowledge base according to your specific areas of expertise.
- Maintain current knowledge about the SFMC platform and other relevant technologies in the digital marketing space.
- Occasional travel to client locations, up to 25%
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
- If you do not have certifications for Salesforce Marketing Cloud when you start, you will be required to obtain your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Admin and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certifications within 6 months of your start date.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

- Occasional travel to client locations, up to 15%
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
- If you do not have certifications for Salesforce Marketing Cloud when you start, you will be required to obtain your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Admin and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certifications within 6 months of your start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience consulting on and implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- SQL experience
- AMPscript experience
- Demonstrated success in a customer-facing consulting role.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Deep knowledge of the SFMC platform

- Order Management (Retail)
- eCommerce
- Two or more Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications
- Experience in Salesforce Pardot
- Experience in other email marketing platform(s) outside of Salesforce
- Deep knowledge of the SFMC platform capabilities and implementation best practices
- Ability to clearly articulate digital marketing best practices and translate those into implementation recommendations.

SALARY AND COMPENSATION

The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
