As a part of the Data & Applied Intelligence (AI) Solution Area, in a highly visible Data & AI Solution Architect role, you will leverage a client-centric approach to translate our client’s business strategy into solutions and services that lead to successful business outcomes.

You will be an experienced, passionate, and client-centric Data & AI Solution Architect, and will drive client roadmaps, program building, incorporating intelligent processes into existing business processes and solution planning. You will leverage a portfolio of solutions which includes, but is not limited to, diverse data (including IoT) and advanced analytics capabilities, such as data engineering, data modelling, machine learning, AI services (NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI, etc.), and data visualization that are powered by Microsoft Azure Data & AI services.

What you'll do

  • Originate, develop, and grow exceptional internal and external client relationships.

  • Be known for your "client centric" approach and delivery excellence.

  • Work closely with delivery teams and client stakeholders to provide technical leadership, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts.

  • Assist clients in their journey to Microsoft Azure or leverage their existing investment in it - you can expect a significant focus on applying cloud architectural patterns and migration strategies.

  • Play a key role in Avanade's sales process with the responsibility for shaping the high-level design, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals in collaboration with other subject matter experts in the business, including elements such as: use case(s) definition, business case, user experience design, business process flows, functional data flows, data catalogues, technical data flows, cloud consumption estimates, delivery approach, resources plans, risks, assumptions, dependencies, etc.

  • Engage with clients’ leadership and technology teams in strategic discussions to provide outstanding technical strategy and industry guidance to improve their long-term business goals.

  • Lead quality assurance (QA) activities from design to implementation phase of the proposed Data & AI solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership as a member of the Intelligent Data Platform Practice in areas such as: data access & ingestion, data processing, data integration, data modelling, database design & implementation, data visualization, advanced analytics and AI.

  • Establish relationships with Solution Architects in other parts of the business within Avanade and Accenture and collaborate on designing standard methodologies across the company.

  • provide coaching and mentoring to motivate and inspire more junior colleagues from within your team and across the organisation

Skills and experiences

  • Have significant proven relevant professional experience

  • Have solid experience in managing & leading 3 or more staff in technology consulting or industry.

  • You possess the ability to manage and lead small multidisciplinary teams.

  • You have demonstrated experience of turning business use cases and requirements to technical solutions.

  • Experience with the decision-making process and policies involved in a large and highly complex matrixed organization.

  • You have experience assessing and managing the opportunities and risks associated with large scale complex services & consulting engagements.

  • You have Knowledge and understanding of industry-standard business practices.

  • You possess demonstrated experience of turning business use case and requirements into technical solutions.

  • You are able to create and implement work plans for assigned projects, programs, and clients against established operational objectives; supports translation of group strategy into objectives and work plans.

  • You can provide operational leadership for large-scale, strategically critical work efforts requiring significant coordination.

  • You are able to solve that span work domains and require continual alignment to internal and external business issues to deliver expected results across groups.

  • You have a latitude in approach to work, including the ability to reshape work plans, guided by professional best practices and domain expertise.

  • Your work efforts have a significant impact on near- and medium-term Avanade and client operations, as well as contribute to client-relationship and sales outcomes.

  • Able to work independently, with occasional validation of work efforts against strategic and operational objectives. Significant latitude in judgment & approach.

  • You have the ability to mentor and manage work efforts of more junior colleagues and team members as required by various workstreams; may formally supervise work of project teams.

  • Can apply advanced knowledge of learned occupation/discipline and strong business operational acumen.

Technical skills

  • Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs of work that involve platforming & re-platforming data solutions within Azure data & AI services

  • Capability in creating design artifacts and presenting them for approval at architectural forums attended by multi-disciplined stakeholders from engineering to senior ("C level") client executives and design key architectural characteristics such as performance, security, and reliability.

  • You have applied experience in designing and solutioning programs and system integration projects that include Modern Data Platforms and AI and Advanced Analytics solutions (preferably based on Microsoft Azure PaaS & SaaS), having worked in a business consulting (technology focus) environment or a combination of experience and relevant education.

  • Solid understanding of the value proposition(s) associated with AI, Data, PaaS, and DevOps, including business processing mapping of Data & AI solutions.

  • Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloguing, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows (data pipelines).

  • Ability to apply methods to solve business problems using one or more Azure Data & AI services in combination with building data pipelines, data streams and systems integration.

  • Ability to explain complex analytical methodologies and concepts in non-technical language.

  • Knowledge of Lambda and Kappa architecture patterns, Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality tools and processes as well as DevOps processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as code fundamentals.

Education & Certifications:

  • You likely possess a BSc in a quantitative field such as computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or another relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice.

  • You likely possess a certification in one or more of the following:

  • Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)

  • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600)

  • Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (DP-500)
