Maintenance Worker - Mowing Crew
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Mowing City property
- Performs a variety of routine custodial and grounds maintenance tasks, e.g., edging, mowing, trimming, waste and litter removal, fertilizing, placing sod, raking, planting, etc.
- Operates wide variety of light and medium equipment and machinery, e.g., automobile, pickup truck, lawn mower, tractor
- Operates various standard hand-help manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment, e.g., hammer, shovel, rake, screw drivers, wrenches, digging bar, chainsaw, chemical sprayer, leaf blower, weed eater, hedge trimmers, edger.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED, supplemented by one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a custodial, grounds crew or maintenance position, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
- Excellent work history and attendance record.
