Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for working on food packaging equipment, including mixers and pouchers. This role involves both mechanical and electrical repairs, working in the control room with PLC troubleshooting, and handling various equipment such as board controls, PLCs, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, servos, and some machining and welding.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food packaging equipment.
Work in the control room to troubleshoot PLCs.
Handle board controls, drives, and motor controls.
Conduct mechanical tasks involving hydraulics, pneumatics, servos, and some machining (lathe and mill).
Perform welding when necessary.
Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
Essential Skills
Electrical and mechanical experience
PLC troubleshooting
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Welding and machining skills
Experience in the food industry
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with motor controls and VFDs
PLC programming experience
Experience working in a food/GMP environment

Work Environment
This position offers a clean food/GMP environment, though it can get a little messy due to the nature of sauce production. The job is available on the 2nd shift (M-F 2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (M-F 10pm-6:30am). Employees will be provided with uniforms.
