Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, 37.5 hours per week.

Description of Duties:

-Upon issuance of awards, reviews the award establishment documents and monitors a portfolio of sponsored awards. -Requests internal rebudgeting and assists faculty and department personnel with external rebudgeting requests to City and State sponsors. -Review financial systems to ensure accuracy in grants setup, budgets, project periods, sub-awards, close-outs, etc. -Performs quarterly reviews of expense transactions so that they are properly calculated and encumbered in their appropriate accounts. -Other administrative duties as assigned. -Collaborate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to properly encumber Purchase Orders and process vendor payments. -Collaborate with RF HR / Payroll to capture effort and salary on sponsored awards.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: -To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience - 2-3 years of post-award grants administration or other relevant experience - Knowledge of grant policies and regulations for the public and private sectors - Must be able to meet deadlines. - Excellent organization, time management, communication/interpersonal skills -Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities as part of a team -Proficient in the use of computers, including database management, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, and the Internet -Ability to convey necessary information accurately, listen effectively, and ask questions when clarification is needed. - Proactive, excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. - Proven ability to organize priorities during levels of high demand and meet agreed-upon deadlines for multiple constituents; demonstrate the ability to maintain related electronic records; - Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy; serve as a resource for programmatic staff to address difficult issues; ability to identify problems and find creative, effective solutions. PREFERRED: -Institution of higher education or academic medical center experience preferred. -Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate all sponsor project budget and expenditure data with assigned sponsored project accounts. -Ability to be precise, thorough, reliable, work independently, adapt to frequent changes in work assignments, and possess the ability to reason, think logically and analyze situations to achieve resolution of problems or concerns -Customer Service: Demonstrate ability to take initiative, demonstrate a customer service focus, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality. -Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and in writing with Program and Grant Officers and with staff at all levels having varying degrees of understanding of relevant regulations and procedures.
