Description of Duties:

The TRANSPORT Program Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the administrative and operational aspects of the TRANSPORT program at the Brooklyn Health Disparities Center (BHDC). -Assist in the day-to-day administrative tasks of the TRANSPORT program, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records -Manage administrative processes related to TRANSPORT, including but not limited to, processing expenses, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling procurement requests. -Handle the social media presence for TRANSPORT and the Brooklyn Institute for Health Equity, including content creation, post scheduling, and engagement with the audience. -Assist in the marketing of TRANSPORT programs, including the development of marketing materials, coordination of marketing campaigns, and liaising with external marketing teams or consultants. -Write and compile reports, articles, and newsletters following TRANSPORT events, capturing key outcomes and highlights for dissemination through various channels. Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operation and communication within the institute. -Coordinate food vendors, room reservations, and associated activities for BHDC related events. -Support the Deputy Program Director (Dr. Straker) of BHDC with grant proposals and other activities, support with sustaining community partnerships and related activities, processing undergraduate research and publication activities. -Perform other related duties as assigned, which may include supporting special projects, assisting with publications, research initiatives, and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Bachelor-s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. Strong organizational and administrative skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Experience in event planning and report writing. Familiarity with the healthcare sector and interest in health equity is a plus. This position requires a dynamic, organized, and versatile individual who can manage a variety of tasks ranging from administrative responsibilities to social media management and event reporting.
