Technical Competencies Pass the test for scaffold builder II level. Knowledge in scaffolding systems, to build safe scaffolding that stays connected to a large buildings or structures. knowledge with federal safety requirements concerning the erection and disassembly of scaffolds. Very good understanding of all elements in a scaffolding systems like, cross braces, ladders, planks, and guardrails that allow others to work at various heights. Knowledge in building up and taking down all non hanging types of scaffolds and temporary structures. Ability to perform daily visual inspections and light maintenance to guarantee that equipment is working properly. Basic math calculations to determine safe weight loads and interpret blueprints. Familiarity with crane operations, must skillfully execute hand signals safely for load and unload scaffold materials using equipment such as slings and cables.

Tool use competencies Handling of portable power and hand tools (hammers, ratchets, power drills and hammer drills, levels, cutting wires). Proper utilization of HSE scaffold related equipment like hardnesses, safety lines, body vests, etc.

Other qualifications Working in extreme weather conditions, stand or walk for long periods of time, climb, stoop, crouch and crawl in restricted spaces. Understand and follow HSE specific safety rules for the intended application. Contribute fully to the team effort to maintain 5S, workstation cleanliness organization. Perform any other duties as assigned.
