Job Title: Registered Nurse
Position Summary: This is a part-time position working Monday-Friday 8am-2pm. Responsible for facilitating and/or providing preventive and other health services for assigned clients.

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for program compliance with requirements regarding the health care of clients.
Ensure that clients receive appropriate preventive health care as well as appropriate medical care for disease and injury by providing or facilitating provision of necessary nursing, medical, dental, and related care. Perform specific skilled nursing procedures, including nursing assessments and scheduling or assisting parents in scheduling the necessary care with an appropriate health practitioner.
Work collaboratively as a member of the treatment team by effectively communicating essential medical information regarding clients, conducting in-service education programs, and monitoring health care given by non-medical personnel in order to ensure that the health care needs of clients are met in the context of the total treatment program, equipped with necessary medical supplies in an on-going and cost-effective manner.
Work with counselor/social worker to obtain social/medical history interviews with parent/guardian. Together with treatment team, assist in determining special needs and recommending appropriate program services for identified clients.
Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements related to health care of clients, employees and volunteers by keeping accurate and comprehensive health records in accordance with state and federal regulations and agency policy and procedures.
Assure that Health Service’s office and program areas are equipped with necessary medical supplies in an on-going and cost-effective manner.

Pediatric and/or psychiatric experience preferred.
Valid New York State Drivers License
