The University of Vermont (UVM) is recruiting a HVAC Technician. This is a full-time position with great benefits and work life balance. This position performs highly skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of building heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and controls. HVAC Techs perform highly skilled work in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment. They operate a University vehicle to transport materials, tools, and equipment and may be required to operate an aerial lift.
High School diploma, Vermont Type S C3 License and Vermont Natural Gas Installer Certification, or ability to acquire within six months, and three years experience in HVAC equipment and controls installation, maintenance and repair experience required. Refrigerant Recovery Certification required. Experience using computers and mobile technology required. Valid drivers license or ability to obtain and drivers check required. May be required to operate an aerial lift. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check and physical screening.
