Job Title: Field SurveyorJob Description

Communicate with PMs on specific tasks for jobs, compile data on site and analyze data. Operate with total stations, data collectors, laser scanners, and laser tracker equipment to conduct land surveys and metrology for industrial and refinery sites. Utilize AutoCAD/Civil 3D to assist the civil and survey CAD team and create elevation and alignment plans based on the data.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Work Environment

This individual will work closely with the Department Manager, who is a Civil Engineer specializing in laser scanning, industrial control, and 3D modeling for heavy industrial clients. The team is based out of the Burns Harbor office and works closely with other teams. The role involves working with industrial clients in steel, oil and gas, and power generation sectors, with clients in NY, FL, CA, and IL/Northwest IN. The individual will be in the office all five days or be on a job site in the surrounding area and must be able to utilize their own vehicle. The company has a civil engineering focus and shares resources, offering opportunities to learn, grow, and assist on a variety of projects, with potential for promotion to PM roles.
