Actalent Medical Assistant in Burton, Michigan

Description:

Family Medicine Residency clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in the day to day operations of scheduling patients, verifying insurance, rooming patients, taking vitals and assisting physicians with minor procedures. Experience in all of the above is necessary as they will be expected to hit the ground running with limited training. They have up to 36 residents throughout the week and typically 15-20 at one time. They have 5 other Medical Assistants on staff.

Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm with two potential late nights until 5:30pm / Wednesdays are half days 8am - 12pm

No travel required

Must Have:

Medical Assistant Certificate (Will need to be Certified by the time the are eligible for hire)

6 Months of Medical Assistant experience

Ability to room patients and take vitals on their own

EMR experience

Nice to have:

Certified Medical Assistant

Prior Orthopedic experience

Disqual: No certificate or certification

Education: High School Diploma
