Georgia Employer PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST I SKLS in Byron, Georgia
Perform logistical support between the customer and approved Sources of Supply (SOS) and Sources of Repair (SOR) on assigned spares and maintenance repairs. Verify accuracy of documentation and completeness of files prior to final processing. Interface with SOS/SOR representatives, Logistics Specialists, Procurement Specialists, Contract Administrators, and SKLS Management to coordinate assigned logistical requirements. Document assigned actions into database systems supporting the contract; furnish data and reports as required; and initiate follow-up action to ensure timely delivery of repaired items, procedures, and procurement policies.Perform research and identify SORs for repair of individual components. Review completed files to verify accurate documentation. Interface with the customer to expedite repair actions. Complete assigned data inputs into program database. Analyze price proposals, reports, and additional information to determine reasonable pricing. Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery. Negotiate agreements and purchasing terms for efficient procurement of materials. Provide support and data as requested for administrative purposes and in support of the Quality Management System. Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management. Represent S&K with professional demeanor at scheduled events and during virtual WebEx meetings with customers. Travel in support of conferences, meetings, reviews, and other related activities.Education High School Diploma. Experience This is an entry level procurement position and requires a minimum of 2 years of direct experience. Experience with Quantum is preferred. License, Cert or Registration The ability to satisfy a background investigation to obtain a security clearance. Background investigation requires current drivers\' license, proof of U.S. citizenship or proof of authorization to work in the U.S. Special knowledge, skills, & abilities Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR and other applicable regulations in government contractor administrative support to include operations, accounts payable, purchasing, and CDLR tracking is preferred. Must be able to communicate professionally and concisely to customers and employees of the organization. Must demonstrate ethics, responsibility, confidentiality, professionalism, punctuality, consistent dependability, and ability to multi-task. Must have well-developed time management and schedule coordination skills. Must have an ability to work professionally with individuals or diverse groups. Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight.
