[Job Description
Manage and supervise all water and wastewater personnel, responsible for the distribution, and collection systems within the Village of Caldwell, and provide safe, economical, and efficient management and protection of said water and wastewater systems. Ensure Ohio EPA compliance, maintain all permits, and licensing for proper operation, manage all new and upgrade projects' water and wastewater associated, budget for all plant, equipment, and projects, and assist with all purchasing for the water and wastewater departments. Maintain Ohio EPA compliance for water treatment and distribution systems, assist Operators of Record for all satellite water companies in the supply of public water for Noble County, and assist in the design of new projects for new and upgraded construction.
Manage and supervise all Street Department personnel, and assist in the maintenance and repair of streets, guardrail repairs, alleys, public lands, curbs, bridges, sidewalks, drains, and ditches. Supervise street repair, grass mowing, cemetery maintenance, traffic control signals, culvert maintenance, machine maintenance, budgeting, street marking within the Village, forecasting street paving with Grant funding, and all purchasing for the department. Initiate work orders to American Electric Power reporting street light outages and repairs. Manage tree and sidewalk improvement programs.
Assist with all grant writing for community improvement, issue all building permits to ensure compliance with current zoning laws, work exclusively with the village solicitor on all matters legal within the village, and serve the Village of Caldwell at government and organizational meetings as an appointed official of the Mayor. Assist in other organizational events throughout the village, as assigned by the mayor.
Work directing with Village council committees on Finance, Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Service and Safety, Planning, and Zoning for the Village of Caldwell. Maintain all maintenance, and repair of parks, playgrounds, and other recreational facilities owned or operated by the Village, including but not limited to Caldwell Lake and its facilities and Sunset Pond. Interpret the Ohio Revised Code and advise the Village council on matters of the Village.
Manage and supervise Caldwell Lake facilities: maintain pavilion, bathroom facilities, signage, disc golf course, including course trail. Schedule pavilion rentals. Report any lake property damages to the proper authorities. Update lake rules and regulations as approved by the Village Council. Ensure all recreational users obtain a fishing and boating permit for Caldwell Lake.]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
