Previous experience: Seasoned EA with a wealth of experience to steer our organization's technological vision and architectural strategies. Exemplary architectural and leadership skills and serving as a trusted advisor to the business. Significant experience in an international software or technology provider with proven a track record of elevating IT whilst shaping and leading transformative technology initiatives across multi-national organisations.

The job

We are looking for a seasoned Enterprise Architect with a wealth of experience to steer our organization's technological vision and architectural strategies As an evolving and growing organization, we expect constant transformation and change. This will include helping shape the integration of any newly acquired business onto our backend IT systems, shaping IT solutions to deliver key strategic business goals and partnering closely with the senior Research, Development & Product leaders to ensure alignment of corporate IT and AVEVA software products and platforms.

A strategic thinker, passionate about experimenting with innovative technologies plus designing and implementing enterprise-wide IT solutions. Proactive and progressive in action, a change agent adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders across different domains and levels.

Uses their skills and experience to build and mature the EA practice as an internal IT management consultancy, bridging business and IT, to effectively support execution of the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Help drive the creation of a strategy and road map for technology innovation and change that is aligned with AVEVA’s business goals and product/services strategy.

• Collaborate and establish relationships with business and IT leaders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities.

• Work closely with departments across the organization to identify technology solutions that enhance productivity, streamline processes, enable business growth, and drive competitive advantage.

• Partner closely with AVEVA Research, Development & Product teams to ensure alignment of Product and Corporate IT architectures.

• Evaluate, analyse, and rationalise how technology solutions are aligned, organized and mapped against the future vision and the strategic needs of AVEVA.

• Act as an advisor, providing insights on new technologies and recommending solutions that support business objectives.

• Develop, manage and coach EA practice members whilst establishing the EA practice as an internal IT management consultancy, bridging business and IT, to effectively support execution of the business strategy.

• Facilitate business and IT alignment through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, helping drive AVEVA’s digital business strategies.

• Advise and influence business leaders by providing actionable recommendations on technology enabled investment decisions.

• Track innovative technologies and run experiments to create new IT services and assist in anchoring them into business operations.

• Support IT services planning, management and modernization.

Ideal Experience

• Enterprise architecture and innovation leadership experience in a software / technology led business.

• Enterprise architecture and innovation leadership in an international software or technology provider.

• Strong experience leading the introduction of new technologies and standards.

• Experience with an evolving technology environment (e.g., web/cloud-based applications and infrastructure, SaaS, user vs. IT maintained applications, mobility applications, security, etc.)

• Proven success serving as a strong change agent and leader with a practical, approach to problem solving and decision-making.

• A track record of elevating IT at the most senior levels in an organization and partnering as a trusted peer to the business.

• Operational familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, and EA frameworks.

• Practical understanding of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those that can scale at enterprise level.

• Strong understanding of new and emerging technologies, such as generative AI and its applications.
