Job Title: Maintenance Technician III
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician- 3 will provide technical maintenance support to the site-based electrician, HVAC Technician, MT-1, MT-2, Master Crafts Lead Person and client; Assists with various technical and non-technical tasks within a facilities environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to lift 75 lbs
Required to climb ladders
Ability to perform light carpentry and painting tasks
Stays abreast of changes (safety and code) in the field through seminars and other educational means.
Communicate with the owner, owner’s representative, or supervisor on the work performed and present status of the mechanical system.
Knowledge and implementation of proper Personal Protective Equipment is required
Ability to use voltage tester and/or Muiti-meter to verify electrical current is present
Must be able to read/understand English
Start up and secure all equipment in designated buildings as requested by his/her supervisor
Assists with the structural trades
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
Comply with all company policies and procedures; adhere to company standards and safety program.
Answer trouble calls as required under direct supervision
Complete assigned preventative maintenance work
Assists any tradesperson as required
Performs reporting/note taking as required
Completes work in accordance with EMCOR Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

Education and/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Basic skills such as Internet searches, use of email systems, electronic manuals, electronic learning, etc.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Universal CFC Certification
Technical degree in JVAC or a minimum of two years hand on experience in the HVAC trade industry.
Other Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of HVAC codes and regulations preferred.
Ability to successfully complete the required company training.
Must be able to work varying shifts, weekend and holidays as needed.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to respond to emergencies when needed.
Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools and be able to off of ladders, staging, and power platforms.
Licenses/Certifications:
Universal CFC Certification
Technical degree in JVAC or a minimum of two years hand on experience in the HVAC trade industry.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
