Additional Information:Please note this is a part-time, 17.5 hours (.5 FTE) per week position.

Job Function:General Administration Position Description:The HMS MMSc-Med Ed Program Coordinator will provide critical support in the delivery of a two year master’s program. The program is currently run as a live virtual program and the Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting many of the operations associated with delivering a virtual master’s program. In addition to this, the program is piloting some optional on campus learning experiences that the program coordinator would manage, requiring complex event planning skills. Responsibilities of the position include:

Communications - Develop program and event promotions and communications. Update program website as needed and develop new website content in coordination with Grad Ed Marketing Manager. Serve as primary point of contact for program applicants. Respond to e-mail queries from prospective applicants and respond to applicant questions about admissions system, SLATE. Manage all program social media accounts (primarily X, formerly Twitter).

Meeting Scheduling- Responsible for scheduling all team & faculty committee meetings along with program related meetings/social gatherings with students. Will schedule other meetings as needed.

Event Planning – Take the lead on all event planning and coordination for two in person on campus learning experiences for students in the program and for program graduation events. Invite & schedule all speakers for academic and professional development sessions during the experiences. Plan and execute all off campus social & Boston sightseeing events during experiences. Book all classrooms/space needed for sessions and order catering from on campus provider for all meals provided during experiences. For graduation events, plan, coordinate & execute all on campus Harvard graduation events in conjunction with HMS Graduate Education team. Schedule other virtual team building events as needed.

Supporting Course Delivery in Canvas- Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of all program courses delivered through Canvas. Coordinate with teaching faculty on Canvas course sites and help faculty/Teaching Fellows make updates as needed. Work with HMS IT to ensure courses are copied over each semester. Ensure all links work properly including Zoom links for course meetings.
