Job Description:

About the Role:

Reporting to the Batching Manager this role provides overall leadership on night shift in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement. Through subordinates, this role monitors and evaluates the batching production process from raw ingredients to processing and recommends methods to optimize product yields, equipment operation, and process control while reducing waste. Engages all employees in continuous improvement and fosters a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Helps with utilizing control methods for issuing raw materials in accordance with WIP (Work In Progress) and Weigh Up

  • Focuses heavily on MUV control for the Cambridge location through the support of Management

  • Works cross-functionally with the Warehouse, Production, Quality, and Supervisors to achieve production targets in accordance withthe production schedule

  • Oversees the raw material process (Kitting and Batching) to sterilizedfinished product (Processing)

  • Establishes leadership and setsdaily direction for the manufacturing team on shift. Ensure necessary plans are in place to deliver the required production results while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.

  • Interpret safety policies/practices to employees including enforcing safe work practices.

  • Utilize available data (line speed target, set-up guidelines, and efficiency and process data) to continuously improve productivity, uptime, and reliability.

  • Ensures all direct reports are utilizing the SAP operating system in accordance withthe system guidelines

  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.

  • Ensure clear and concise communication to the process operator(s) and blending operator(s) along with all other levels in the organization as necessary.

  • Supports Continuous Improvement projects through the practice of Root Cause Analysis, Kaizens, 5S, etc.

  • Must comply with and support the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP, HACCP, LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by TreeHouse and the Cambridge facility

  • Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned. This position can involve weekend and on-call duties.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Important Details : This is a full-time 3rd shift on-site role. (Hours 10:45pm-7:15am). The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, time may vary based on business needs and department objectives.
