Subaru of America Sr. WMS Administration Analyst in Camden, New Jersey
SUMMARY
Ensures the accuracy of the warehouse management (WMS) and labor tracking (LMS) software applications by resolving issues and implementing best practices and enhancements. Acts as an experienced resource in the field for Subaru of America (SOA) Regional Distribution Center (RDC) operations and processes including, but not limited to, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and reporting functionality. Performs training of SOA and temporary staff while additionally creating, identifying, and implementing best practices to ensure that SOA RDC operations are prepared for growing and expanding business needs and expectations. Works closely with manager, SOA IT, and system vendors on projects regarding the WMS and LMS applications.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a Test Agent regarding various WMS and LMS configurations, changes and settings in several systems including Dev, QA, and Prod environments. Creates and edits use cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts to address enhancements and fixes; must be able to understand interdependencies and linkages within the WMS and LMS and determine both positive and negative comprehensive testing scenarios. Designs and tests new RDC warehouse location builds, areas, and locations in WMS & LMS, both independently and in conjunction with manager. (5%)
Ensures accuracy and integrity of the WMS and LMS by ensuring that systems are operating as expected and responds to and solves problems that impact efficiency and operations of the systems. Works alongside Subaru of America (SOA) IT and system vendors to collaborate on issue resolution, establishment of best practices, and projects concerning system enhancements and/or updates. (25%)
Develops and provides reports on the WMS/LMS Operation to inform business operations. Determines which data is needed to fulfill reporting request and where to locate it, as well as report formatting, using SQL data query knowledge. (5%)
Supports RDCs in their daily operations by troubleshooting and fixing stop gapping issues and finding ways to prevent future issues by either creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operations or by changing the system to fix the root cause. Works with Information Technology (IT) resources to develop and install fixes to ensure that system is functional. (25%)
Provides back-up on daily duties and activities for the WMS Administration Manager in the event of the WMS Administration Manager’s absence or travel. Provides training and direction to department interns and/or new staff resources. Brainstorms, solicits, and implements needed procedures and/or operations that will help the RDC operations to be more successful. (10%)
Aids IT Integration Team in investigating production issues. Proactively performs research into root cause of issue and determines which information would be needed by IT. (10%)
Assists with maintaining storage and picking rules for Parts Distribution (the RDC network) by responding to data and requests from the RDC Inventory Control Specialists and RDC Managers to ensure increased efficiency and productivity. Ensures that storage and picking rules are updated and relevant as business operations (such as new Subaru products, RDC redesigns, new locations, etc.) change. (5%)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides training on operational procedures compliant with the WMS and LMS, using external (software provider) and internal (SOA IT, SOA Standard Operating Procedures [SOPs]) resources for training materials.
Provides reporting on issue tracking. Keeps end users up to date regarding the status of identified issues and works with IT to keep track of system solutions.
Schedules and leads Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) quarterly conference calls designed to discuss fixes, operational updates, and questions that the ICSs may have regarding the system and/or operations that will help the ICSs with their job responsibilities and help to improve overall warehouse inventory integrity.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Manhattan Associates WMS/LMS, Oracle Applications, and various slotting tools; proficiency in SQL; and good command of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Strong analyzing and problem-solving skills.
Conversant in RDC operations, such as Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, etc.
Proficient in Radio Frequency Scanner operations.
Ability to understand the physical and operational layout of the RDCs to provide useful input in travel sequences that will help the RDC employees to work smarter and not harder.
Ability to work in a team or independently

Ability to participate in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of policies, plans, and programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once and to accomplish them in a timely manner.
Continuously driven to help improve operations.
Understanding of accounting cycle count principles.
Bachelor’s degree; equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 2-4 years' experience

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $67900 - $96900 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
