    About the Facilities Specialist Role:

    Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the maintenance function. Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment, coordinates work, preforms preventive maintenance, handles basic repairs and maintenance and oversees contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Responds to inquiries or requests for information and prioritizes requests received. Must be available for “On Call” to address afterhours and weekend emergencies.

    Responsibilities:

  • Maintains equipment, i.e.: replaces light fixtures and light bulbs and ballasts; repairs all fixtures (toilets, door closers, emergency lighting); re-sets exterior street clocks.

  • Monitor and maintain the Cooling Tower located at the Operations Building.

  • Coordinates work with all vendors and contractors and provide on-site escort and supervision as required.

  • Diagnoses issues, assesses corrective options needed for repair and identifies when external vendors/contractors need to be contacted.

  • Understands and interprets blueprints and schematic drawings, able to read and interpret blueprints, and other work diagrams.

  • Maintains a clean and safe environment – pick up trash and debris, pressure wash building and pavement, mow grass, trim shrubbery, maintain landscape, clear snow and ice as needed. Clean up spills, straighten walk off mats, washing windows and the like.

  • Operates a Bank owned vehicle requiring a standard New York Driver's License to travel to and from work sites across Ontario and Monroe counties. Responsible for care, maintenance and service of bank vehicles.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • Prior experience preforming routine maintenance - including basic plumbing, electrical (working LED lighting and repair), mechanical, carpentry, and painting.
