Cleveland Clinic PRN Dietary Aide in Canton, Ohio

As a PRN Dietary Aide, you will perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately sets up and delivers patient trays and nourishments.

  • Distributes correct portions of food and beverage items.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follows department standards and procedures.

  • Utilizes and rotates food products, appropriately stores leftovers, labels and dates food items.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Six months experience in food service required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.

  • Ability to talk and hear.

  • Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
