Job Description

The purpose of this position is to direct the staff and the operations of the overnight team in order to ensure an excellent guest experience while maximizing room revenue and efficiently utilizing the available resources.

Supervises members of staff working the overnight shift. Safeguard hotel's best interest at all times.

Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Reviews hotel occupancy status. During periods of high occupancy establishes guidelines such as walk-in guest to be accepted or turned away.

  • Audit room revenue.

  • Stays informed on all applicable new hotel procedures. Follows up with staff.

  • Inspects hotel nightly.

  • Inspect suites regularly.

  • Maintain efficient interdepartmental communications.

  • Record all complaints and guest problems along with events for the evening in the logbook.

  • Maintain continuous contact with hotel guests and VIPs to ensure that any special requests, early check-ins, problems or complaints are handled quickly, efficiently and courteously.

  • Keep up a good working spirit in the staff and ensure good cooperation between the different departments.

  • Assist department managers with reviews of their overnight staff.

  • Respond to emergency situations on property and use best judgement to resolve, always keeping in mind the best interest of the hotel.

  • Implement & maintain company service standards through training, reviewing Medallia Scores, and setting goals within each department.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all areas of the hotel during overnight shift.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years previous Front Office Management experience is required as well as knowledge of the hotel’s property management system (Opera).

  • General knowledge of hotel operations, good PR person and must be able to function on overnight shift for a long period of time.

  • College degree preferred.

    Annual Salary Range: $66,560k - $70,000k

    The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience
