GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under general direction, this position performs professional work involved with assisting law enforcement personnel with criminal intelligence products. This position compiles, analyzes, evaluates, correlates, and disseminates criminal intelligence or case and event de-confliction information to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Duties EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duty statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other non-essential or marginal duties that may be required:

Works in conjunction with others to analyze reported crimes and prepare a work product. Correlates new information with existing information. Analyzes findings and prepares reports based on the data. Conducts background research on criminals or suspected criminals and provides data to operations team. Prepares and provides analysis derived from multiple sources of data ranging from financial analysis to analysis of organizations to telephone toll analysis. Interacts with and disseminates information and intelligence products to other law enforcement agencies and individuals to provide information, exchange data and assist in coordinating investigations. Uses current software to compile and prepare data. Proficient in utilizing social media platforms. Develops and maintains a close liaison with other parts of the Sheriff's Office. Uses logic to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Presents analytical findings to personnel; may testify in court. Maintains regular and acceptable attendance at such level as determined at the Sheriff's Office discretion. Is available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the Sheriff's Office determines is necessary or desirable to meet its needs. Performs duties onsite, except those job duties that are customarily or by nature performed offsite. Interacts with law enforcement representatives in and out of agency to exchange information regarding crime trends. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of law enforcement research design and statistical methodology; research methods for measuring effectiveness and direction of specific crime programs. Comprehensive understanding of the intelligence process/cycle. Knowledge of quantitative evaluation methods and data analysis. Knowledge of demographic and socioeconomic variables that influence crime rates and trends. Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and software, as required by the position. Skill and ability to interpret and present statistical findings. Ability to prioritize work and complete assignments in a timely manner. Ability to work in a very stressful environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged. Ability to critically analyze and evaluate crime reports. Ability to analyze cause and affect relationships. Ability to think creatively and develop logical action plans from those ideas. Ability to get along well with others. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Associate's Degree from an accredited college, including basic courses in criminology, statistics, computer sciences, crime analysis or related field.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
