NBC Universal Media Asset Coordinator in Centennial, Colorado

Work with a highly motivated team of individuals who are responsible for the fulfillment of media content to NBCUniversal’s distribution outlets, including its broadcast and cable networks, owned television stations, international global networks, and online destinations. The Media Asset Coordinator will be responsible for ingesting shortform content and serving as a point of contact with internal technical and sales teams, and various content providers to ensure accurate and timely media deliveries to the play out environment, both domestic and international. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure data entry of delivered content into necessary systems and databases for physical and digital assets. 

  • Responsible for managing asset preparation including but not limited to organizing, pulling content for ingest/broadcast, and returning content to proper storage location.

  • Serve as a representative of the Media Operations Center, providing customer service excellence that entails timely responsiveness, succinct follow ups, and building strong relationships with customer base and peer groups.

  • Ability to handle and prioritize workload, including time sensitive issues and materials.

  • Use digital delivery platforms like Aspera or Signiant on a daily basis.

  • Ability to collect and relay accurate information about assets both verbally and written formats to business partners, management, suppliers, and vendors.

  • Troubleshoot basic problems, escalations, and issues in the ingest and media prep workflow, following the escalation procedures and maintaining client communication.

  • Coordinate with Sales Operations, commercial and promotional teams to resolve any shortform content related issues.

  • Work closely with Media Operations Technicians, On-Air operations, and various commercial teams to ensure all shortform material is ingested, qc'ed, and ready for air.

  • Additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor(s).

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and relevant certification or associate degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in a job or school related activity using computers and software applications including MS outlook, MS Word, & MS Excel.

  • Background in customer service or a client facing role

  • Basic understanding of SD & HD file formats and specifications

  • Must have flexibility with work schedule; must be able to work late hours, overnights, weekends, holidays and occasional special events when needed for 24/7x365 operations 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or 2 year degree in Communications or Media

  • 1+ years of experience in a production, postproduction, broadcast, or communications environment

  • Prior experience in broadcast scheduling or traffic

  • Prior experience in media ingest and on-air operations

  • Prior experience using media technology library and workflow systems

  • Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment

  • A team player, who is always respectful, follows rules and policy, has good communication skills, and maintains a positive attitude

  • A punctual, hardworking, & dependable individual with attention to detail

  • Prior experience using Media Asset Management (MAM) and centralized workflow software

  • Operational familiarity with content distribution technologies such as Aspera, Signiant, FTP, Pathfire and Pitch Blue

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. 

Must be willing to work in Centennial, CO.
