Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Acquisition Specialist to join our team in the Chantilly, VA.
A qualified Acquisition Specialist candidate will demonstrate a working knowledge of the following services and assist the customer(s) in the day-to-day contract award and administration functions as described below, but are not limited to:
Originate, modify, revise, review and/or update the following types of acquisition-related documentation: Acquisition plans, acquisition strategies, source selection plans, justification and approvals, request for proposals, contract award documentation, contract administration documentation, contract modification documents, engineering change proposals, internal and external organization correspondence, award fee plans, specifications, statement of work, statement of objectives, acquisition resource center announcements, contract documentation for briefings and/or meetings, and written correspondence with respect to the contract actions.
Provide assistance in source selections.
Perform proposal price and cost analysis.
Serve as liaison between office of contracts, finance, and all customers providing and coordinating information, questions, concerns and contract data for all contract actions.
Provide support during contract negotiations.
Facilitate contractor close out.
Develop, revise, update and implement tracking systems for action items and other areas as requested by customer.
In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement.
Experience with major systems acquisition programs.
Bachelor's degree or above in Management, Business or Finance required
DoD Acquisition Professionals at Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II training required.
Certified Contracting Professional (or other Federal certification equivalent program) or NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) program.
At least 8 years of contracting experience supporting major DoD programs is required. NRO or IC preferred.
Of the 8 years contracting experience…five years’ experience working DoD Major Systems Acquisition (MSA) is required
Of the 5 years working MSA’s. two years’ experience working with Special Access Programs (SAP) is required
Possess proficiency in utilizing a contract writing software tool similar to NRO’s Electronic Procurement Exchange (EPX) as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .
Strong organization and time management skills, excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Possess and demonstrates a positive attitude with paramount desire to fill organizational objectives through complete customer satisfaction.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
