Job Description

A week in the life of anIT Service Desk Technicianat the Medical Enterprise Test Innovation Center (METIC) supporting multiple customers:

  • Manage the intake and processing of service desk tickets

  • Assist end users with technical issues and service requests

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of customer-facing documentation

  • Support the development of Service Management reports

  • Actively participate or initiate process improvement and automation efforts.

  • Work closely with team members -- on site and remote -- to ensure proper ticketing discipline

Job Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • 1- 3 years of IT service desk experience.

  • Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date.

  • Ability to present professionally to Government facility's visitors

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self-starter with high initiative and resourcefulness.

  • Commitment to following ticketing and facility procedures

  • Commitment to supporting customers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Motivation to learn new systems and techniques.

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows account management and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with basic networking concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience working in a cloud environment including virtual access and tools.

  • Familiar with ITIL standards and processes.

  • Familiar with Service Level Agreements (SLA).

  • Experience using ITSM ticketing systems.

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $70,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
