Job Description

-As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting pharmacists in a variety of tasks and procedures involved in dispensing medical prescriptions.

-Your duties will include gathering, inputting, and double-checking prescription, refill, and patient information, receiving and organizing incoming supplies, preparing labels and routine prepacked orders, and handling clerical tasks related to the department.

-This role is situated in an outpatient setting, akin to a retail pharmacy, but within a hospital environment. You will support various clinics within the hospital including the OR, vaccine clinic, mail order, and more.

-Expect to rotate through different stations of the pharmacy during your shift, including register, filling, input, insurance/prior authorizations, and call center. -Patient interaction is an integral part of this role, and you will be dealing with a diverse patient population.

Salary Range

$18-$23/hr

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Charleston, South Carolina.

Work Environment

You will be part of an outpatient pharmacy team within a hospital, consisting of pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and fellow pharmacy technicians. This is a fast-paced environment where technicians are on their feet all day. Training for software usage, will be provided on the job.
