A local business is seeking a Shop Laborer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have shop experience, arc welding skills and the ability to use and read templates, sketches, and shop drawings.

Job Title: Shop Laborer

Location: Downtown Charleston

Pay Range: $15.00

What's the Job?

• Machining of stock wood doors and hollow metal doors for proper location of hardware as listed on sales orders.

• Assist in unloading and stocking of freight orders.

• Field work for repairs or installation.

• Backup labor for the assembly, welding, and/or grinding processes involved in the fabrication of hollow metal frames.

• Performs other related duties as required.

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of procedures and paper flow with office personnel.

• Skill in use of arc welding.

• Skill in use of hand and power tools.

• Ability to read and use templates, sketches, and shop drawings.

• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Credentials & Experience

At least two years related experience in a shop atmosphere.

Special Requirements

Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by management.
