Our client, a nation leading telecommunications company, is looking for an experienced Agile Release Manager in their Carhlotte, NC location. This is a long term contract with a potential to convert. Candidates need to have a background in Agile Release Planning, Backlog Grooming/Planning and Project Management. Prior Service Provider or Media background is needed. Jira/Confluence or any enterprise productivity tools (Smartsheets) experience is needed as well. Candidates should be comfortable communicating to an executive audience. responsibilities:

• Client has been working with CSG who is a billing vendor that supports customer billing (internet/cable) technology for client on their platform (different vendors for consumer mobile and enterprise customers)

• Most recently they have renegotiated agreements with content providers (Disney mainly) and used that new contractual structure with their other contents provider. AMC, Vicks, Paramount and others... (DTC consumer app ecosystem)

• The plan is that If a content provider is servicing content through charter (cable) they (the customer) are entitled to an ad version of their consumer apps (Disney+ app ecosystem for instance). If they want to upgrade to a premium version of their DTC they can do that through charter at a discount.

• Client needs to change the billing model and technology to do the above effectively. What CSG has proposed is to use the Ascendon platform. The issue with current billing technology is when a customer wants to upgrade to a premium version of the DTC app so that is why client needs to use Ascendon. If a customer is just using basic package (cable/internet with the ad version of DTC app) Charter can still use the existing platform. Ascendon will allow them to charge directly to a customer Credit Card and will manage all subscriptions within that platform.

The gap is they someone who is comfortable and able to track development activities of CSG as well as the interdependencies, timing, delivery and how that aligns with the overall client ecosystem (middle person)

CSG owns engineering of the platform but different technical teams at client will have to integrate with this so this consultant will wrap their arms around it and keeping track of integration points

Looking for a consultant who play this agile release management role who can focus on managing the work of the CSG team but understands the client side of the business. Synthesize project details/status to executive management to come up with a coherent plan

Will be injecting new requirements and feature requests into the CSG side tracking those stories, grooming stories, managing stories and building a release plan.
