Pilot Air Freight LLC Driver - CDL in Charlotte, North Carolina

Pilot Freight Services is seeking a full-time Class A Driver to work for out Charlotte Station, located in Charlotte, NC
The position is Monday - Friday starting at 2:30 am - 2:00 pm
This position will entail performing driver duties in a safe & efficient manner & within the parameters set by DOT rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
1.Perform local commercial & residential pickups and deliveries
2.Accurately complete required paperwork on each job as well as daily paperwork.
- Keep on schedule as provided by the dispatcher
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Must have clean motor vehicle record
Able to apply basic problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret maps
Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate and surrounding areas
Ability to read and understand tariff signs and signals
Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms and other related documents
Strong PC skills
Good written and verbal skills
Ability to discern numbers and information
Ability to manage deadlines
Bilingual helpful: Spanish/English
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
High School degree or equivalent
Must be forklift certified
Valid driver’s license with proper class and endorsements (hazard endorsements preferred) issued by the driver’s home state of residence
Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT/TSA regulations
Must meet physical requirements established by the DOT and have or be able to provide a valid medical card
Must be CDL certified
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1+ year verifiable driving experience in the industry and in the type of vehicle that will be driven
Must be at least 25 years of age
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires the employee to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. The employee must be able to regularly lift/move up to 70 pounds and use pallet jacks and forklifts. Position requires regular use of a phone and a PC and reading and writing of various shipping documents.
