As Product Owner, you should be able to establish a collaborative partnership with key stakeholders and work directly with agile team members to deliver quality operational reports and other deliverables. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, data analysis skills, be detail oriented and possess critical thinking skills. Ideal candidates are comfortable with highly technical requirements and working environments with the ability to read and write complex SQL queries for research and analysis purposes. In addition to being a seasoned, well-trained professional, the candidate should be passionate about supporting the agile team in delivering high quality business solutions in a timely manager.
Collaborate with business analyst to translate business requirements and needs into consumable backlog stories for development
Compose and update backlog stories and defects to populate the agile teams backlog
Organize, maintain and prioritize agile team backlog in alignment with business stakeholders and leadership
Lead grooming seasons to collaborate with the agile team to break own and understand business requirements and desired outcomes.
Coordinate and lead report development demos
Participate as needed in design review sessions to ensure feasibility of requirements
Develop a knowledge of system capabilities and functionality then apply knowledge to recommend creative solutions when issues arise
Form strong working relationships with stakeholders and other cross-functional leaders
Ensure that proposed system features and requirements meet user needs and objectives as well as align with development established best practices
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner and always demonstrate a respect for others.
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of experience in an IT Product Ownership/Project Management role supporting software development (ideally large enterprise applications)
Solid understanding and experience following agile methodology; preferably SAFe
Creative problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues
Manage conflicting priorities and gain consensus across multiple user groups
Ability to clearly write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams and/or other ancillary documentation
Strong communication skills that can adjust from executive levels to engineers and non-technical individuals easily
Flexibility to work with team members, business stakeholders and executives simultaneously or separately
Experience reading and writing complex SQL queries
Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple initiatives at once
Self-motivated individual capable of building new relationships and proactively establishing a network of supportive contracts across the organization
Previous business analyst experience a plus
