Job Description

PartnerOne Environmental, the underwriting division of Beacon Hill, a division of Specialty Program Group, is looking for an outstanding Underwriting Assistant for our Service team. The qualified applicant will have experience in an office environment, exhibit excellent communication skills, a high degree of personal motivation, be detail oriented and able to multi-task. A college degree and/or experience in the insurance industry is preferred, but not required for an experienced applicant.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Handling of all post binding policy transactions including the processing of endorsements, cancellation, reinstatements and audits

• Customer Service (answering phones, general correspondence)

• Liaison between Agents, Brokers and Underwriters to ensure proper flow of requests

• Finalize and maintain internal files

• Various Marketing and Accounting Functions

• Process and review insurance policies

• Specialized projects for different departments

• Serve as a back-up for other jobs as necessary

Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected hourly rate for this position is $18-$20 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
